Friends & Founders
We are four friends from the Malabar coast of Kerala, India.
Our friendship grew around food, travel, and long conversations that never really ended.
Food was always the common ground. Every plan, every journey, every dream somehow found its way back to a table.
Years later, two of us found ourselves in Berlin — a city built by stories, cultures, and people who came from somewhere else. Naturally, a question followed: "Why not start something of our own?"
The answer came easily. Food is the simplest way to connect people. It crosses languages. It brings strangers together. It makes places feel like home.

Growing up, we all knew the story of the race between the rabbit and the turtle. The rabbit was fast. The turtle was slow. But the turtle won.
Not because he rushed. Not because he was the strongest. But because he kept going.
Starting this café was never quick. It took time. It took patience. It took distance, doubt, and determination. But we believed in one thing: even if it takes longer, we will finish — and we will finish well.
That belief became our turtle. At Toasty Turtle, we don't rush food. We don't rush people. We don't rush moments. We believe good things take time.
